Who can participate in the Children's Summer Reading Program?

Children ages 6-9 can participate in the Library's Summer Reading Program.

The program includes virtual content and activities, in-person content, and activities. (please note registration is required for in-person activities) There will be multiple program times to choose from for each age group.

In-person programs for Children ages 6-10

Children Summer Reading in-person programs will be held on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays in June and July from 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm at the library. Each week the program is different. However, the sessions for the week are identical. Please choose the date and time that works best for you. Register by visiting Beanstack or by visiting the library located at located at 527 W Iowa Ave. 

Read, track your minutes, and earn incentives! 

Pick up week take and make activities!

Week Three: Tails that Soar
Many tails reside in the deepest of water.
Week Four: Tails for the Deep
Cats and Dogs are just some pets with tails.
Week Five: Pet Tails
Some Heroes have tails!
Week Six: Hero Tails
Tails can be found in jungle tree tops!
Week Seven: Tree Top Tails
Tails can even be found in the dark.
Week Eight: Tails in the Dark
Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, even celebrate!
