Image of library director lillie huckaby introduces a letter from the director. Lets talk about the library!

Dear Library Patrons,

I want to let you know that we’ve been working hard to upgrade our computer system. I know I mentioned this a couple of months ago so I wanted to give you another update on that.

We did get brand new - 2 switches and a security appliance, high quality Cisco Meraki items. Installed and with 5 year licenses. Now we are experiencing fewer glitches and slow speeds. In other words we are grateful and we want you to know who paid for this updated equipment. This project is funded in part through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act. The Oklahoma Department of Libraries paid $1,423.53 and money from the ARPA grant paid $1,333 and the Federal e-rate program paid $8,066.68.

As you explore the newsletter, you will learn about our new session of Beginner Tai Chi, new children's programs, the Riders of the Orphan Train event coming up on March 3, and our newspaper digitization project.

Respectfully,

Lillie Huckaby

Library Director
