A Matter of Balance will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. from March 4 - April 3. A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based falls prevention program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase physical activity levels among older adults.
This program includes eight two-hour classes, presented to a small group of 8-10 participants and led by Lillie Huckaby. The program helps participants reduce their fear of falling by learning to view falls as controllable, increasing their activity levels, reducing fall hazards in their homes, and learning exercises to increase their strength and balance.
To register, call the Library at 405-222-6075 and ask to speak with Lillie, or email lillie.huckaby@chickasha.org.

You will create a beautiful flower display with a book. Each participant is requested to make two items, one ot keep, and one to donate to the Friends of the Library to sell at the Rock Island Arts Festival. All proceeds will go to the Friends' Dolly Parton Imagination Library fund. All supplies are provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own.
