WiFi at the Library
The Chickasha Public Library would like to remind the public that there is 24/7 Wi-Fi available outside of the library. Individuals can park in the library’s parking lot located at 527 W Iowa Ave and connect to the Wi-Fi while still practicing social distancing. To connect select CPL-Patron, you will be prompted to agree to the terms of use by checking the box and clicking submit. If you are not prompted, go to your internet browser and search for chickasha.org, this should provide the agree to terms page. For additional information, please call the library 405-222-6075 or by email at lillie.huckaby@chickasha.org. Parking is limited around the library, so be considerate.
In addition to the regular WIFI provided by the library, Hillary Communications has installed a WIFI device that will reach about two blocks from the library. This WIFI will be on from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm daily. Hillary Communications goal in doing this is to provide internet access to children who may not have access to do their school work. In addition to our location, Hilliary Communications Public WIFI is providing WIFI locations in the cities of Elgin, Medicine Park, Walters, Sterling, Rush Springs, Cyril, Cement, Fletcher, and Lawton.
Chickasha Public Library says thank you, Hillary Communications, for doing this. For more details about this program, check out this article – https://www.usda.gov/media/blog/2020/04/02/rural-distance-learning-gets-tech-boost-oklahoma-and-texas.
