Image of library director lillie huckaby introduces a letter from the director. Lets talk about the library!

Hello,

I want to tell you about a new service the library is offering.  COVID-19 has taught us a lot about the need for online meetings for a variety of reasons. An important reason is for jobs - searching, coaching, and even interviews. These situations became difficult to do in person during COVID  restrictions therefore new methods were sought and now with so many people having lost their job and looking for a new one online meetings became very important. Unfortunately not everyone has the capability to utilize that method. The Oklahoma Department of Libraries offered Oklahoma libraries small grants to purchase good headsets and webcams for library patrons to use to help meet the need for online meetings. Headsets and/or webcams can be used in the library by patrons with a valid library card. Patrons can use them on their personal devices, free wifi is available, or on library computers. A private room is also available. To get a library card there is no cost if the applicant resides in Grady County, just bring photo ID and proof of mailing address and fill out a short application. For more information call the library at 405-222-6075.

Sincerely,

Library Director

Lillie Huckaby
