Hi, My name is Digby. I am your 2026 Unearth a Story Summer Reading mascot. I'm a blueberry blue triceratops. Our theme this year is all about dinosaurs, paleontology and archaeology. I belong to the order ornithischia, the bird-hipped dinosaurs. I'm a slow-moving herbivore that uses my beak-like jaws and slicing teeth to pluck and chew tough plants that other dinosaurs can't eat. My name comes from the Greek words meaning "three-horned face" because of the two horns on my brow and the smaller horn above my mouth. Paleontologists are still gathering evidence to learn why I have my big horns and frills.

Join me & the Chickasha Public Library as we dig into a few good books, uncover hidden histories, explore the past, & go on a great adventure all summer long!

Can you find me hiding around the library? Did you see me at a program or in the park? Look for me among the pages of the Library Youth link, on the Library's Facebook and Instagram, and all around Grady County/Chickasha. I'm there to to encourage you to READ, READ, READ! The more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the more you grow. SO LET'S GROW BIG TOGETHER!
