National Library Week local celebrations
To celebrate National Library Week at Chickasha Public Library there are several events you can participate in:
You can enter your name in a drawing for prizes by signing up through Beanstack or by dropping by the library.
You can attend a Proclamation presentation signed by Mayor Mosley at 6:00pm, at City Hall, prior to the Chickasha City Council Meeting.
You can come to the Chickasha Public Library and give the workers a ‘round of applause’ on Tuesday, April 6th which is National Library Worker’s Day. Do you know the qualifications of the staff of the Chickasha Public Library? 2 workers – Director Lillie Huckaby and Library Assistant Michelle Skinner have MLIS (Master of Library and Information Studies) degrees from OU and Courtney Mayall will have a MLIS degree from OU in a few weeks; Sandy Robertson has held State Certification for over 20 years; Beth Cranton and Brande Bradford have held State Certification for several years.
